Chandan Das

Chandan Das has a diverse work experience in various technology-related roles. Chandan is currently employed as a Vice President - Platform Engineering at AQR Capital Management since July 2021. Prior to that, Chandan worked at Pegasystems for a significant period, where they held multiple roles. Chandan started as a Software Engineer - Cloud Ops in July 2013 and was responsible for managing AWS-based cloud deployments. Chandan then progressed to the role of Principal Software Engineer - Cloud, SRE, where they provided support for AWS Cloud Services and worked on creating stable and robust architectures. Finally, they served as a Technical Lead - Cloud, SRE, analyzing incident tickets and developing automated solutions to reduce manual tasks.

Before joining Pegasystems, Chandan worked at Oracle as a Senior Member Technical Staff from June 2011 to June 2013. There, they created demo solutions to showcase the functionality of various Oracle Fusion Middleware Technologies.

Chandan's career started at Infosys in August 2008, where they worked as a Software Engineer. Chandan provided real-time platform support for a banking client, troubleshooting issues related to Weblogic for J2EE applications.

Chandan Das completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science at the College of Engineering and Technology in Bhubaneswar from 2004 to 2008. During the same period, they also pursued another B.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Biju Patnaik University of Technology. In April 2017, Chandan obtained the certification for AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services.
