Leonid Spesivtsev

Vice President - Global Stock Selection Research, Machine Learning Group at AQR Capital Management

Leonid Spesivtsev's work experience begins in 2003 at National City Bank, where they held the role of Head of Research and Development of Financial Software Technologies until 2006. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Wharton School. In 2019, they joined AQR Capital Management as a Research Associate and later became a Vice President in 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President in the Global Stock Selection Research, Machine Learning Group at AQR Capital Management.

Leonid Spesivtsev holds a Ph.D. in Finance from The Wharton School, which was completed in 2016. Leonid also obtained a Master of Science in Computer and Information Sciences from the School of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. Prior to this, Leonid pursued a Master of Sciences in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from Ural State University, Department of Mathematics and Mechanics. The start and end years for this degree are unknown.
