Simba M. has extensive experience in the financial services industry, with their most recent role being Vice President - Tax at AQR Capital Management since September 2021. Prior to that, they spent over a decade at EY, where they held various tax-related positions. Simba worked as a Manager - Technology & Transformation, Financial Services from January 2018 to November 2020, and as a Tax Services Manager, Financial Services from October 2013 to April 2019. Before that, they served as a Tax Services Senior Analyst from October 2011 to September 2013 and as a Tax Staff Analyst from November 2008 to September 2011. During their time at EY, Simba managed tax compliance and consulting engagements for medium to large financial services clients, implemented taxation structures and strategies aligned with client objectives, and communicated with government officials to resolve tax-related matters. Simba also led and mentored a team of tax professionals, delivered exceptional client service, and successfully renewed annual tax compliance projects.
