Katrien Thys

Katrien Thys currently serves as the Manager of Team Hemelwaterplannen and is the Studieverantwoordelijke for Hemelwaterplannen at Aquafin since September 2019. Prior to this role, Katrien gained experience as a Project Intern at Credendo, focusing on a credit risk model, and worked as a Laboratory Assistant at KU Leuven, contributing to MELiSSA lab work during a summer internship. Additional experience includes a student job in risk modeling at AXA Bank Belgium, administrative support at HistoGeneX, and work in the medical department at ING Life & Non Life Belgium. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in General Management from Vlerick Business School, a Master of Science in Bioscience Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in the same field, all obtained from KU Leuven, along with a secondary education diploma in Latin and Mathematics from Sint-Franciscus Xaveriusinstituut.
