Senior Project Engineer at Aqualung Carbon Capture

Paul Buchinger has a diverse work experience ranging from research and development engineering to bartending. In their most recent position at Aqualung Carbon Capture, they worked as a research and development engineer. Prior to that, they were a process engineer at Arbaflame, where they focused on process control, optimization, and wastewater treatment. At AromatEco, they worked as a scientist and gained experience with a start-up company, designing and implementing a pilot-scale bioreactor. Paul also held a research fellowship at King's College London, conducting research on protein expression and characterization. Early in their career, they worked in various bartending roles at Berlin Bar, Portobello Road Gin, The Independente Collective, and Revolution Bars Group PLC. Additionally, they had a brief stint shadowing the Electrification and Plant Design Group at Network Rail.

Paul Buchinger completed their education at three different institutions. Paul started their academic journey at The London Oratory School, where they attended from 2008 to 2015. Paul then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with Biomedicine at King's College London from 2017 to 2020. Following this, they enrolled at Imperial College London and completed a Master's degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering with Biotechnology from 2020 to 2021.
