Eric Lau

Eric Lau has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Eric recently joined Aquanow in 2022 as a Backend Architect. Prior to that, they served as the President of Brainy Butlers Solutions Ltd. from 2017 onwards.

Between 2017 and 2022, Eric worked at AdapTech Group as a Senior Business Solutions Architect - Front-end Expert, where they implemented and mentored insurance policy applications, built a food freshness check app using ReactJS/Redux, and rewrote significant portions of an actuarial calculation web application.

Before that, they were a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Tile in 2019, Team Lead at Moz in 2018, and Development Manager at Onlineshoes.com from 2015 to 2017.

Eric also gained experience as a Development Manager at Trader Corporation from 2011 to 2015, where they took on the roles of Agile Team Leader and Web Developer.

Furthermore, they held the position of President and Chief Consultant at SOLID Consulting from 2011 to 2015, and worked as a Senior Developer at Vivonet from 2009 to 2011.

Eric started their career as a Software Developer at Equinox in 2008.

Eric Lau has a diverse education history. Eric attended Toastmasters from 2001 to 2008, where they did not obtain a degree or specialize in any field of study. Eric then pursued a Certificate in Software Development from the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2003. From 1996 to 2001, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Simon Fraser University. Eric also attended Johnston Heights, although no specific start or end years were provided. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in Advanced Node.js: Scaling Applications from LinkedIn in January 2019 and Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in March 2014.
