Claudia Andrea Mejia-Larrea

Claudia Andrea Mejia-Larrea has a long and varied work experience, starting in 2003 as an R&D Engineer and Technical Advisor at Solenis Colombia (formerly NOPCO COLOMBIANA). Claudia Andrea then moved to DISAN LATAM in 2007 as a Senior Technical Sales Specialist, where they achieved a 110% target in sales of new trademark products for the drying segment in the Mexican market, as well as an 80% recovery of the non-performing accounts payable portfolio. In 2008, they became the Regional Technical Service Manager, Paints and Coatings, Mexico, Latin American and the Caribbean at Ashland Inc., where they managed an Applications Center and provided technical support to customers in the paints and coatings industries. From 2016 to 2022, they held two positions at BASF, first as an Innovation Manager N - EMN / Care Chemical, where they were responsible for generating the annual technical-sales pipeline at the Innovation Center, creating technical strategies for product innovation projects and sales, and managing key-accounts of the care and industrial customers' network. Claudia Andrea then became a Technical Leader EDN, where they attended and supported paint and coatings business customers, implemented new strategies to introduce trademark products, and attended to customers' nonconformities. In 2022, they joined Aquapak Polymers Ltd as a Project Engineer and Process Engineer.

Claudia Andrea Mejia-Larrea obtained their Ingeniero Químico from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana between 1993 and 2000. Claudia Andrea then received an Executive Diploma in Management and Administrative Skills from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2011. In 2018, they earned a Diploma SELF MANAGING LEADERSHIP from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In 2020 and 2021, they completed an Executive Diploma in Building up Strategic Partnerships from Sales Specialist Club. Claudia Andrea is currently pursuing an MSc Process Technology & Management in Chemical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, which they are expected to complete in 2025. Additionally, they hold an AUDITOR INTERNO ISO 9000 certification.
