Esben Gad

Esben Gad's work experience begins in 2009 at McKinsey & Company where they worked as a Management Consultant. In this role, they gained experience in driving analytics and workstreams, as well as training in strategy formulation, executive communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving. Their projects were focused on R&D, product launch/market expansions, and IT infrastructure in the Biotech, Greentech, and Financial sectors.

In 2010, Esben joined Novozymes as a License & Strategy Manager, where they were responsible for formulating and driving intellectual property strategy for two business areas. Esben also played a role in structuring, negotiating, and managing major business-to-business development partnerships. Esben had a seat on the strategy board for these areas. Esben later became a Team Leader in the same position, overseeing IP strategy and execution for a 150 million Euro business area. Esben also worked on partnering and deal negotiations for development partnerships and organizational development within the IP organization.

Since 2015, Esben has been employed at Aquaporin A/S. Esben started as the Head of Partnering, and in this role, they contributed to the company's partnering pipeline, market intelligence, product maturation, and intellectual property. Esben then transitioned to the role of Head of Business Development, continuing their responsibilities in partnering and product development. Most recently, Esben has held the position of Vice President, Business Development, overseeing the company's business development efforts. As of September 2021, they have taken the role of Vice President, Products & Strategy, focusing on the company's product strategy and overall strategic direction.

Esben Gad obtained their MSc degree in Nanotechnology from the University of Copenhagen, graduating in 2008. In 2006 to 2007, they attended UC Santa Barbara, where they focused on Biomolecular Science & Engineering, although it is unknown whether they earned a degree from this institution.
