Meghan Holst

Senior Biologist / Principal Investigator at Aquarium of the Bay

Meghan Holst is an accomplished conservation professional currently serving as the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Minorities In Aquarium & Zoo Science since April 2021, while also holding the position of Senior Biologist and Principal Investigator at Aquarium of the Bay since August 2017. Expertise includes coordinating conservation research projects, training students and staff, and executing safety protocols in a variety of roles including Biologist III at BottomDwellersInc and various positions within respected organizations such as Oregon Coast Aquarium and Oregon State University. Meghan Holst possesses a Doctor of Philosophy in Conservation Ecology from the University of California, Davis, a Master's degree in Behavior and Physiology from San Francisco State University, and a Marine Biology degree from Oregon State University, supplemented by an Aquarium Science Certificate.
