Aquarium of the Pacific
Valerie Hoffman has extensive experience in education and public engagement, currently serving as an Education/Presentation Volunteer at the Aquarium of the Pacific since June 1998, where responsibilities include interpreting exhibits, guiding tours, and emceeing shows featuring divers and animals. Prior to this role, Valerie spent over three decades with the Long Beach Unified School District, from September 1965 to June 1997, as a high school teacher and mentor in English and Spanish, also holding the position of Bilingual Education/ESL Coordinator at Wilson High School. Valerie earned both a BA and MA in English and Spanish from California State University, Long Beach, between 1960 and 1965.
