Robert Douglas has over 10 years of work experience in software engineering. Robert began their career in 2005 as a Software Engineer at INVIA Solutions, where they were involved in porting/rewriting X windows code for new OS's and was responsible for the file loading, GUI development, and image transformation technologies. In 2007, they moved to Gene Codes Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they worked on Windows and Mac development with C++, Qt, and boost. In 2009, they became a Senior Software Engineer at DRW Trading Group. In 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer at Chopper Trading and a Couch Potato at Non-Competetive Software Development. Robert also started their own business, Robert Douglas Consulting, in 2013. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at KCG Holdings, Inc., where they developed highly-customizable ultra low latency libraries for exchange connectivity and was the principal representative to PL22. 16/WG21 for International C++ Standard. Since 2019, they have been a Development Engineer at Aquatic Group LLC.

Robert Douglas attended the University of Michigan from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a B.S.E. in Computer Science.
