Amanda Houk-Copley has over 20 years of experience in the newspaper industry. Amanda started their career as a Writer at The North Little Rock Times in 1999. Amanda then worked as an Adjunct Professor at Oklahoma State University from 2001 to 2004. Amanda joined World Publishing Company as an Editor from 2001 to 2006. Amanda then moved to World Media, where they served as a Senior Research Analyst with the Tulsa World from 2006 to 2013. In 2013, they joined the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette as a Marketing Research Director. Later on, they became the Marketing and Events Director, responsible for managing various events and sponsorships.
Amanda Houk-Copley has a diverse education history. Amanda pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of Central Arkansas from 1995 to 1998. After completing their bachelor's degree, they went on to further their education at Oklahoma State University, where they obtained a Masters degree in Media Management from 1999 to 2001.
In 2000, Amanda also had the opportunity to attend the University of Oxford, where they studied Literature/Philosophy for a brief time. Later, in 2007 and 2008, they attended The University of Georgia to learn about the Principles of Marketing Research offered by MRII, although they did not pursue a specific degree during that period.
