As a Business Development Representative, you are responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for the sales teams to pursue in support of pipeline creation. BDRs generate demand primarily via outbound teleprospecting into assigned accounts and territories. In addition to tele, you’ll use a spectrum of tactics including email, social media, and chat.  

What You’ll be Doing  

  • Generate new demand for the sales organization to pursue
  • Qualify demand against established criteria before passing a lead to the Sales Organization
  • Discover, validate and reach out to personas involved in the buying decision to determine possible buying groups for delivery to field  sales
  • Efficiently respond to and qualify inbound leads
  • Coordinate with account executives for mutually agreed upon prospecting within target accounts
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasts to marketing and sales on the volume of qualified demand expected to reach the qualified demand stage of our pipeline
  • Track and manage prospecting, qualification, and nurture activities in the company’s sales force automation (SFA) system

  

Who You Are  

  • Minimum 3-5 years prospecting experience in a high tech, B2B role

  • Knowledge of automotive/industrial/manufacturing/hi-tech industries a plus

  • Familiarity with sales lead management systems and salesforce automation tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Active listening to assess a prospect’s needs and opportunities

  • Strong project management and time management skills

  • Must be a team player with an ability to work autonomously

  • Bachelor’s degree required
