Isabel Yishu Yang has a wealth of work experience. Isabel Yishu began their career in 2012 as an Economic Researcher at the World Trade Organization. In 2013, they became a Senior Economist for the National Treasury of South Africa (Ministry of Finance). In 2016, they held two positions: Teaching Fellow, Economics at Harvard University and International Arbitration Summer Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. The following year, they were an International Arbitration Summer Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP. In 2018, they participated in the Venture Incubation Program at Harvard Innovation Labs and was the Founder, CEO, and CIO of ArbiLex. In 2019, they were part of the LLX Accelerator Program at Harvard Innovation Labs.
Isabel Yishu Yang obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Harvard Law School in 2018. Prior to this, they obtained an MSc. in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford in 2012. In 2011, they graduated with a BSc. in Economics and Finance and a Minor in Social Sciences from the HKUST Business School. In 2010, they completed an exchange study at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, where they studied Economics and Real Estate Investment. Additionally, in 2017 they obtained a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) certification from the Yoga Alliance.
