Farrah Powell, Ph.D has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Farrah is currently a Senior Program Manager at Arbor since December 2022. Farrah began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles in September 2012, where they worked until August 2013.

Dr. Farrah Powell has a diverse education history in the field of environmental studies and science. Farrah completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies at UCLA from 2009 to 2013. Farrah then pursued their Master of Arts degree in Geography & Environment (Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Powell continued their academic journey by earning a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and San Diego State University. This doctoral program lasted from 2017 to 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Powell has obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. Farrah completed the UC Santa Barbara PaCE Customer Experience Certificate Program in Environmental & Climate Advocacy, Leadership & Activism in December 2021. In May 2014, they obtained certification as an AAUS Science Diver from AAUS NOAA. Furthermore, they are a certified Rescue Diver, having completed training with PADI in May 2013.
