Michael Lucas

Michael Lucas is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in turbomachinery and propulsion systems. Currently serving as a Senior Turbomachinery Engineer at Arbor since June 2023, Michael is responsible for turbopump engineering. Prior to this role, Michael gained significant expertise at SpaceX as a Senior Propulsion Analyst specializing in Raptor turbomachinery from May 2014 to June 2023. Earlier positions include Flight Termination Engineer at Cummins Inc., Structural Analysis Engineer at Hamilton Sundstrand, Engine Systems Intern at Hamilton Sundstrand, Structural Design Intern at Gulfstream Aerospace, and Ram Air Turbine Intern at Hamilton Sundstrand. Michael holds a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanics and Astronautics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
