Kevin Kerod

Kevin Kerod has extensive work experience in facilities and environmental health and safety (EHS) management. Kevin most recently worked as the Director of Facilities & EHS at Arbutus Biopharma Corporation since May 2022. Prior to that, they were the Associate Director of Facilities/EHS at the same company from July 2019 to May 2022. Kevin also served as the Manager of Facilities & EHS at Arbutus Biopharma Corporation from April 2017 to July 2019. Before joining Arbutus Biopharma Corporation, Kevin worked as a Senior EH&S Specialist/RSO/Facilities at Patheon Biologics from January 2014 to March 2017. In 2013, they founded their own company called Kerod Facilities & Safety Management LLC where they worked as a Senior Consultant. Kevin also held roles as an EH&S Manager/RSO and Facility Manager at Gilead Sciences Inc. from August 2005 to April 2013. Earlier in their career, they served as an EH&S/Facilities/RSO at Pharmasset, Inc. from August 2005 to January 2012, during which time the company was acquired by Gilead Sciences. Additionally, they worked as a Safety & Facility Manager/RSO at Verto Institute from June 2003 to August 2005, and as a Manager Safety & Facility/RSO at Baxter Healthcare from January 2000 to June 2003.

Kevin Kerod has a certification in Environmental, Health & Safety from the National Association of Safety Professionals, which they obtained in 2005. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a focus on Radiation from Georgian Court University, earned between 1987 and 1996. Additionally, Kevin has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronic Engineering, specializing in Instrumentation, acquired from Ocean County College between 1983 and 1986. Kevin also possesses additional certifications such as Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) from FEMA, and a Radiation Safety Officer certification from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission & NJDEP, obtained in 2013 and 1994 respectively.
