Sharie Ganchua

Sharie Ganchua is a Senior Scientist in Immunology at Arbutus Biopharma Corporation, where responsibilities include assay development and method transfer to CROs for clinical trials, alongside prior experience as a Scientist focusing on cell-based assays using flow cytometry. Sharie earned a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Pittsburgh, where proficiency in multicolor flow cytometry, primary cell culture, PBMC and magnetic immune cell isolation, DNA extraction, and quantitative PCR was developed during graduate research. Earlier, Sharie contributed as a Science Research Specialist at the University of the Philippines, playing a key role in the commercialization of a dengue molecular diagnostic kit and generating chicken antibodies against human thyroid stimulating hormone. Additionally, Sharie served in project development, organizing research forums, trainings, workshops, and acting as a secretary in research dissemination efforts. Sharie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Philippines.
