Andrew Dzurak

Chief Investigator & Member, Centre Executive at ARC Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology

Andrew Dzurak is a prominent figure in the field of quantum engineering, currently serving as the CEO and Founder of Diraq since May 2022, where the focus is on advancing scalable quantum computing with billions of qubits on a single chip. In addition to entrepreneurial pursuits, Andrew Dzurak holds esteemed positions as an ARC Laureate Fellow and Scientia Professor at UNSW since January 2005, contributing significantly to the School of Electrical Engineering & Telecommunications. Andrew Dzurak is also a Board Member of the Sydney Quantum Academy and a Chief Investigator at the ARC Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology, a role held since January 2003. Previously, Andrew Dzurak directed the NSW Node of the Australian National Fabrication Facility until May 2022. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge and a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Sydney.
