Jayesh Salvi

Jayesh Salvi is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Arc Institute since September 2022, where responsibilities include managing multiple projects and applying advanced CRISPR techniques to cancer and neurodegenerative disease models. Prior to this role, Jayesh was an Instructor and Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from February 2015 to August 2022, focusing on unlocking dormant stem cells to promote tissue repair and regeneration. Jayesh's academic journey began at the University of Toronto, where as a Graduate Student and Vanier Canada Scholar from January 2010 to November 2014, research led to significant publications that uncovered critical pathways related to genome stability and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Jayesh holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Waterloo.
