Lorena Saavedra

Lorena Saavedra is a multifaceted scientist and manager with extensive experience in research and operations within the field of biology. Currently serving as the Associate Director of the Stem Cell Platform at Arc Institute since March 2023, previous roles include Director of Research Projects at Molecular Decisions and Director of Research Operations at NeuCyte. Lorena’s breadth of expertise encompasses research program management, team leadership, and customer collaboration, with significant contributions as a research scientist and liaison. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of California, Berkeley. Research interests have focused on the effects of social stress on the brain and the molecular dynamics associated with learning and memory.
