The Arc of Hilo is the largest employer of adults with disabilities in eastern Hawai'i County. Our commercial services division support federal contracts through SourceAmerica, including landscaping and custodial support to locations including the post office and federal courthouse, County contracts with over 50,000 square feet of janitorial services, and healthcare and hospitality laundry contracts including Hilo Medical Center, Vision Center, and Kona area hotels. The Arc of Hilo also provides Adult Day Health services to area residents, personal care and chore services in-home, and owns and operates three apartment complexes for low income adults and seniors with disabilities. The Arc of Hilo Weinberg Foundation Event Center provides a vaccine clinic in partnership with the Hilo Medical Center, and serves as a training, wedding and event center. In the fall of 2021, the Arc of Hilo is proud to partner with area schools to offer a Career Exploration program for transition-age youth with special needs.
