Prof. Anusha Shah

Senior Director, Resilient Cities

Prof. (Dr) Anusha Shah is a highly accomplished civil engineer and leader with extensive experience in climate resilience, sustainability, and inclusive design. Currently serving as the Immediate Past President and Senior Vice President of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Prof. Anusha Shah holds the position of Senior Director of Resilient Cities at Arcadis and is a Non-Executive Director at the Met Office. Additionally, Prof. Anusha Shah contributes as a Partner in the London Climate Ready Partnership and has previously been involved in academia as a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at King's College London. With a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, Prof. Anusha Shah has chaired the Thames Estuary Partnership Board and played a pivotal role in various initiatives aimed at sustainable development and climate adaptation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Water and Environmental Engineering from the University of Surrey and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia.
