Francisco Suarez-Valdes

Francisco Suarez-Valdes has been with ArcelorMittal since 2003, serving in various roles that highlight expertise in metallurgy and quality management. Currently holding the position of Technical Customer Team Head for South Europe, Francisco leads a team focused on customer technical support and the promotion of steel solutions. Previous roles include Production Manager for the Aviles Galvanizing Line, where a key project involved the successful restart of a continuous hot-dip galvanizing line and leadership of an R&D initiative, Zincquench. Francisco's earlier experience includes quality management for flat carbon products and a commitment to process improvement methodologies. Education includes a Mining Engineering degree in Metallurgy from Universidad de Oviedo and multiple master's degrees focusing on risk prevention, continuous improvement, and executive management from ArcelorMittal University and Eudem.
