Nike Gurin-Petrovych has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering and technology. They started their career at Advanware in 2005 as a Core eCommerce framework developer. They then moved on to Forma-Pro in 2006, where they worked as a Senior Developer and Core Architect. In 2007, Nike joined The Huffington Post as a Core Developer, DBA, and Team Lead. They played a crucial role in scaling the traffic of the website. In 2012, they started RebelMouse and served as the CTO, DBA, and scaled the remote team from 4 engineers to over 50 in various countries. Nike then joined Octane AI in 2017 as a Senior Full-stack Engineer and later became the Director of Engineering. They managed a remote team and actively participated in product decisions and code reviews. In 2020, Nike worked at Arrakis as a Founding Engineer and Head of Engineering, taking an idea and turning it into a successful product. They wore multiple hats, including Data Engineering, Backend/Frontend, and DevOps. Nike took a sabbatical in 2022 before joining their latest role as a Staff Engineer at Arch Systems in 2023.
