Brendan Keating has extensive work experience in the field of development and communications. Brendan currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at the Archdiocese of Chicago, a position they assumed in January 2019 after serving as the Interim Chief Development Officer from September 2018. Prior to this, Brendan was the Senior Director of Planned Giving, ACA, and Communications at the Archdiocese from January 2018 to August 2018.

Before joining the Archdiocese, Brendan worked at Loyola University Chicago for over a decade. Brendan held various roles, including Director of Advancement Communication from July 2011 to September 2017, Manager of Advancement Communication from December 2007 to June 2012, and Coordinator of Advancement Communication from June 2007 to December 2007. During their time at Loyola, Brendan achieved significant accomplishments, such as raising over $200 million through targeted campaigns, improving brand integrity and messaging cohesion, implementing calendaring and metrics reporting systems, and redesigning websites for better results.

Prior to Loyola, Brendan worked as a contributing writer for Contact Magazine in Dharamsala, India, and as an English language classroom instructor at AEON Japan. Brendan also served as a contract attorney at Hudson Highland Group and worked as a junior associate at Berton Ring, P.C.

Brendan Keating's education history includes a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Loyola University Chicago from 1997 to 2001. Brendan completed their high school education at Fenwick from 1993 to 1997, earning a high school diploma.
