Braden Lay-Michaels

Braden Lay-Michaels currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at Oregon Ballet Theatre since September 2025, with a robust background in international development and organizational growth within nonprofit sectors. Prior experience includes roles as Vice President of International Development at Smile Train and Chief Development Officer at both the American India Foundation and The Trevor Project. Braden Lay-Michaels has also held significant positions at StoryCorps, GLSEN, Los Angeles Universal Preschool, GLAAD, i-SAFE America, Inc., and Refugees International, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing fundraising strategies and advocating for social justice. Braden Lay-Michaels holds a BA from Loyola Marymount University, an M.F.A. from the California Institute of the Arts, and is currently pursuing master's coursework at New York University.
