Marco Antonio Fernandes da Costa Junior

Marco Antonio Fernandes da Costa Junior is a Senior System Engineer specializing in Flight Control Systems with extensive experience in the aerospace industry. Currently at Archer since May 2022, Marco leads efforts in FCS and FBW projects. Previously, as the Autoflight/Autonomous Flight System Lead at Lilium, Marco was responsible for the technical oversight of the LilumJet Autoflight System. At Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation, leadership roles included guiding a team of 40 engineers in developing and certifying the MRJ Flight Controls System and overseeing the Autoflight and Automatic Landing System for the MRJ aircraft family. Marco's career includes significant contributions at CMC Electronics, Bombardier Aerospace, and Embraer, where responsibilities spanned project leadership, technical integration, and system engineering for various autopilot and flight control systems. Marco holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina and has pursued further education at Technische Universität Darmstadt.
