Mark Pokora has extensive work experience in the field of battery management systems and software engineering. Mark currently holds the position of Battery Management Software Engineering Lead at Archer, starting in 2022. Prior to this, Mark worked at Rivian from 2017 to 2022, where they held various roles including Manager - Battery Algorithms and Sr. Systems & Firmware Engineer - Battery Management. Mark also gained experience at Gentherm as a Battery Systems & Firmware Engineer from 2016 to 2017 and at Infineon Technologies as a Staff Firmware Engineer and Sr. Firmware Engineer from 2013 to 2016. Mark has also worked at Flux Power as a Software & Systems Engineer in 2013 and at Fisker Automotive as an Energy Storage Systems Engineer from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they have had previous experience at General Motors, Tesla Motors, GE Energy, and the University of Michigan, where they worked in various roles related to battery systems and research.
Mark Pokora earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they attended from 2004 to 2009. Mark later pursued a Master of Engineering in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2011.
