Bruce Talbot

Bruce Talbot has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Bruce began their career in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as an engineer in 1974 and continued in the same role until 1994. Following their time in the RAAF, Bruce worked as a security consultant for the Australian Federal Police (AFP) from 1994 to 1996, where they developed the AFP's ICT management systems security architecture and policies.

In 1996, Bruce joined Airservices Australia as a Communications Manager, where they were responsible for managing corporate communications systems and internet-facing systems for the Air Traffic Management capabilities of Australia. Bruce held this role until 1998.

Bruce then moved to Computer Associates (CA) in 1998 and served as a Sales Executive until 2006. Bruce continued their sales career at Hitachi from 2006 to 2007 as a Channel Sales Engineer.

In 2007, Bruce founded their own technology company called archTIS, where they currently serve various roles. Bruce is the Founder and Director, responsible for delivering high-quality security outcomes to the private, government, and defense industry sectors. As the Chief Technology Officer, Bruce is involved in the design and management of secure computing capabilities, as well as the development of multi-level security solutions for defense and SOA/ESB systems for secure computing. Additionally, Bruce has been serving as the Chairman of archTIS since 2015.

Bruce Talbot has a diverse education history. In 1970, they attended Deakin High School and completed their HSC with a focus on physics in 1974. Continuing their education in the field of electronics, Talbot attended the RAAF School of Radio in 1974 and 1975 to earn a GradDip in Electronic Engineering. In 1976, they pursued further studies in computing sciences at the RAAF School of Radio, obtaining a GradDip in the same field. Talbot's education journey continued in the early 1980s when they attended the RAAF Central Radar Training Facility from 1982 to 1984, earning a GradDip in Advanced Radar Techniques with a specialization in radar systems design. Lastly, in the period from 2006 to 2011, Talbot pursued a degree in Business Technology at UNSW, completing their studies with an MBT degree.
