Alexey Shvechkov

Alexey Shvechkov is a Technical Director in Software Engineering at Arcserve, where responsibilities include overseeing the development and maintenance of core storage products such as Replication & High Availability, Immutable Scalable Storage Appliance, and SaaS Backup solutions since August 2014. Previously, Alexey served as a Senior Software Architect at CA Technologies, focusing on file systems and storage drivers, and designed architectures for high-availability products with cloud integration. Early career experience includes a Principal Software Engineer role at XOsoft, specializing in Unix/Windows kernel development and distributed networking software, along with a Software Engineer position at Yandex, working on web applications and databases. Alexey holds an MSc in Applied Mathematics, earned between 1991 and 1996.
