Catherine Pickels

Catherine Pickels has extensive work experience in various communication roles. Catherine currently serves as the Director of Communications at Arctic Slope Regional Corporation. Prior to this, they worked as the Communications Director at the Conference of State Bank Supervisors from December 2017 to July 2022. Before that, they held the position of Senior Director at ProActive Communications from June 2011 to August 2017. Catherine also worked as a Research Clerk at Barbour Griffith & Rogers in 2011. Earlier in their career, they held multiple roles at the Republican State Leadership Committee, including Events Manager, Program Director for the Republican Legislative Campaign Committee, and Finance Representative. Catherine started their career as a Deputy Scheduler for the United States Senate in July 2006.

Catherine Pickels has a Master's degree in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management. Catherine also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations, both from The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to their formal education, Catherine obtained a certification in Nonprofit Board Education from BoardSource: National Center for Nonprofit Boards in 2015.
