Alex Roman has a diverse work experience in the software development field. They started their career as a Software Developer Intern at Qualcomm in 2007, where they developed testing tools and fixed throughput issues in the CDMA network stack. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as an Embedded Systems Software Developer Co-op at Research In Motion. In 2010, they joined BlackBerry as an Embedded Systems Software Developer and were mainly responsible for the core OS Location Service and system-level Location API. They also contributed to new chip bring-up, AGPS stack, and certification. In 2014, they joined TextNow as a Lead Firmware Developer and later became a Technical Team Lead for Client RTC Calling. In 2019, they joined Enzuzo as a Lead Software Engineer and held this position until 2022. Currently, they are working as a Lead Developer at Arctic Wolf, starting in October 2022.
Alex Roman earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with Honors in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 2005 to 2010.
