This studentship was supported by the Wellcome Trust Biomedical Vacation Scholarship fund.

From 2018 to 2019, Philipp worked for the Young European Biologists organization as Chief Editor and Science Article Writer. In these roles, they contributed to the publication and editing of scientific articles.

In 2018, Philipp began a 4-year BHF-funded PhD program at the British Heart Foundation. During this period, they focused on cardiovascular science research.

In 2022, Philipp was awarded the Royal Society of Edinburgh Saltire Early Career Fellowship, which allowed him to spend three months at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) in Barcelona, Spain. Under the supervision of Professor Nuria Montserrat, they conducted research on kidney organoids as a model system for studying the molecular mechanisms of Uromodulin (UMOD) trafficking with salt stress in hypertension.

Most recently, Philipp joined Arctoris in 2023 as a Cell Biologist.

Philipp Boder's education history starts with their high school education at the International School Basel from 2007 to 2014, where they obtained a High School degree. They also earned a Bilingual Diploma from the International Baccalaureate in August 2014.

They then attended the University of Glasgow from 2014 to 2018, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with Honors.

Following their undergraduate studies, Philipp Boder continued their education at the University of Glasgow from 2018 to 2019, where they completed a Master of Research in Translational Medicine, focusing on Cardiovascular Science.

Currently, Philipp Boder is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Cardiovascular Science at the University of Glasgow, which started in 2019 and is expected to conclude in 2023.
