Andras Solt

Andras Solt has experience in various research and academic positions. Andras currently works as a Senior Scientist I at Sosei Heptares, starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they were a Research Scientist at the same company from March 2020 to February 2023.

Before joining Sosei Heptares, Andras was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge from October 2018 to March 2020.

Andras also has experience as a PhD Student at the University of Cambridge and the Novartis Institute for BioMedical Research. Their PhD research, conducted from October 2014 to July 2019, focused on NMR-based structural investigation of beta-1 adrenergic receptor dynamics in collaboration with Daniel Nietlispach group, Novartis Institute of Medical Research (NIBR), and MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology.

Andras gained experience as a Project Student at the School of Crystallography, Birkbeck, University of London from October 2013 to August 2014, where they were involved in cloning, expression, purification, and crystallization of honeybee and hoverfly odorant binding proteins in collaboration with Prof. Nicholas Keep and Rothamsted Research.

Additionally, they had an Industrial Trainee position at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from August 2012 to August 2013.

Andras started their career as a Biochemical Society Summer Student at University College London in June-July 2012, where they investigated the modulatory effects of Inositol Phosphoglycans on GSK3β inhibition using radio-ligand binding assays under the guidance of Prof. Geraint Thomas, funded by the Biochemical Society.

Andras Solt attended Maidstone Grammar School from 2006 to 2010, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. From 2010 to 2014, they pursued a Molecular Biology BSc degree at UCL (University College London).
