Laurent Frideres is an experienced professional with a diverse background in administration, consulting, and academia. Currently serving as the Deputy Director at arcus asbl since 2023, Frideres previously held the position of Deputy Director of Administration at the University of Luxembourg from 2019 to 2023. Frideres has also worked as the Head of Unit for Evidence and Outreach at ESPON EGTC and as a Senior Manager at PwC. Academia includes roles as a Lecturer in Economic Geography and Bye-Fellow at the University of Cambridge and Girton College respectively. Early roles include Directorship at Rosetta Translation, Visiting Researcher at LISER, GIS Officer at the United Nations Humanitarian Information Centre for Sumatra, and Project Executive at the Asia-Europe Foundation. Laurent Frideres holds a PhD in Economic Geography and multiple degrees from the University of Cambridge, as well as an MA from SOAS University of London and a BA in Geography.
