Bálint Gál is a Senior Scientist at Arcus Biosciences since October 2019, previously holding the title of Scientist within the same company. Prior to this role, Bálint Gál was a Graduate Student at Stanford University from September 2013 to August 2019, focusing on projects such as stereospecific derivatization of vicinal dihalides and the total synthesis of archaeal lipids. Bálint Gál's research experience also includes working as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Cambridge from June 2011 to May 2013, with a thesis on small molecule modulators of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa quorum sensing pathway, and a summer research stint at TU Dortmund University in 2012. Bálint Gál earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
