Melissa Hunt

Melissa Hunt, JD, LLM, has an extensive and diverse work experience in the field of law and compliance. Melissa currently holds the position of Senior Director of Health Law at Arcus Biosciences, an advanced biotechnology company. Prior to this, Melissa served as the President of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association. Melissa also worked at Omeros Corporation, where they held multiple roles, including Head of Compliance and Brand Attorney, as well as Senior Counsel and Director of Compliance.

Additionally, Melissa has contributed to the legal field as a Guest Lecturer at Seattle University School of Law. Melissa also held the position of Regional Compliance Director of the Americas at Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP). Before that, Melissa gained valuable experience at Seattle Genetics as an Associate Director, managing various compliance-related tasks such as auditing, monitoring, investigations, and aggregate spend.

Melissa's earlier work experience includes compliance management roles at Endo Pharmaceuticals, Prime Therapeutics, and Boston Scientific. Notably, at Prime Therapeutics, they played a crucial role in drafting and maintaining government programs and corporate compliance policies. Melissa also negotiated a significant contract and managed the excluded prescribers and providers process to ensure compliance with the Social Security Act.

Furthermore, Melissa owned their law firm, Schneider & Hunt PLLC, where they practiced as an attorney. Throughout their career, Melissa has consistently displayed their expertise and dedication within the field of law and compliance.

Melissa Hunt, JD, LLM, obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. Olaf College in 2002. Melissa then pursued their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at Mitchell Hamline School of Law from 2005 to 2009. In 2011, Melissa furthered their legal education by completing a Master of Laws (LLM) program specializing in Health Law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Melissa expanded their expertise in European Health Law by obtaining a certification from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2016. Additionally, Melissa is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Washington, as acknowledged by the Minnesota State Bar Association.
