Mauro Saporita

Mauro Saporita has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and bioinformatics. Mauro currently works at Ardigen as a Lead Nextflow Developer, where they contribute to the software engineering strategy for personalized medicine and leads and manages projects. Prior to this, they worked at Eagle Genomics Ltd. where they served as a Bioinformatics Software Engineer, responsible for developing and maintaining pipelines and cloud data infrastructures for data analysis. Mauro also served as a Scrum Master during their time at Eagle Genomics. Before that, they had internships at NIMGenetics and Eagle Genomics, where they gained experience as a Bioinformatics Engineer. Mauro also has experience outside the software field, as a Product Marketing Specialist at GEA soluzioni, where they handled medical device installation, marketing strategies, and translation work. Mauro started their professional career as a Biomedical Engineer at A.O.U. San Luigi Gonzaga in 2011.

Mauro Saporita completed their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino from 2006 to 2014. Mauro then pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2017 to 2018. Alongside their formal education, Mauro also obtained various certifications, including AgilePM® Foundation from APMG International in June 2020, ICAgile Certified Professional Agile Coaching ICP-ACC from ICAgile in June 2020, and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance in October 2019. Mauro has also acquired additional certifications and completed courses in Agile software development, Python data science, agile project management, and Scrum. Mauro has also obtained a certification in Biomedical Equipment Electrical Safety from The Medical Room in January 2016.
