Tomasz Jetka

Tomasz Jetka has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tomasz began their career as a Summer Intern at IBS PAN - Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences, where they gained experience in research, data analysis, mathematical modeling, project management, and reporting. Following this, they worked as a Data Analyst at MAHTA Sp. z o.o., focusing on pharmaco-economical assessment and writing reports. Tomasz then served as an Editor at Fundacja Instytut Ludwiga von Misesa, where their responsibilities included translation, quality control, and coordination.

Tomasz later joined Insilico Medicine as a Junior Researcher, conducting research in the field of artificial intelligence and bioinformatics. Tomasz then took on the role of Owner at Male Media LTD, where they were responsible for marketing, blogs, and e-commerce. Additionally, they worked as a Mathematics Tutor at Akademeia High School.

Returning to Insilico Medicine, Tomasz held several roles including Bioinformatics Scientist, Machine Learning Researcher, and Preclinical Program Scientist. In these positions, they conducted extensive research, collaborated with commercial partners, and utilized a range of technologies and techniques such as R, Python, PyTorch, and statistical analysis.

Tomasz also worked as an Artificial Intelligence Consultant at media-press.tv group, specializing in AI applications. Currently, Tomasz is serving as the Director of Data Science at Ardigen, where they lead a team of professionals in utilizing data science for various projects.

Throughout their career, Tomasz has demonstrated expertise in data analysis, research, bioinformatics, machine learning, and scientific leadership. Tomasz has collaborated with multinational teams, led discussions with external vendors, and managed research projects. Tomasz'stechnical skills include R, Python, Matlab, git, docker, nextflow, SQL, scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, bioconductor, and shiny.

Tomasz Jetka started their education in 13th High School in Szczecin from the year 2005 to 2008. It is known that they pursued multi-/interdisciplinary studies during this period. Following that, from 2008 to 2011, they attended the University of Warsaw and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree. Tomasz'sfield of study during this time included applied mathematics, econometrics & informatics, and economics. Later on, from 2011 to 2013, Tomasz pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree at the University of Warsaw, specializing in applied mathematics and computational biology. Finally, they enrolled at the Polish Academy of Sciences from 2013 to 2017, where they earned their Doctor's Degree with a focus on biomathematics, bioinformatics, and computational biology.
