Job Purpose

Plans, manage and coordinate all areas of business activity related to the procurement of services across Europe required by our project teams to deliver quality projects to our clients. Expanding our supply chain options in new jurisdictions and aligning this with our sustainability goals. To help integrate supply chain partners as part of our overall project delivery offering, focusing heavily on safety & quality as part of our premium brand offering.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supply Management:

  • Identifying supply chain partners and engaging with them to achieve the most competitive rates for construction services.

  • Own the supply and availability outlook for selected suppliers.

  • Analyse demand and supply performance to maintain capacity at target level.

  • Work closely with tender and project teams to prioritize sourcing and delivery schedules as needed.

  • Engage with both local and international contractors/vendors to remove constraints in supply and attain high delivery predictability.

  • Communicate unavoidable exceptions professionally and promptly.

  • Negotiate with supply chain for the best price, payment terms and delivery capacity.

  • Escalation management for key challenges.

  • Understand and implement sustainable supply chain practices and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Produce value add reporting, identifying opportunities for improvement as well as recognising best practice.

  • Drive the Supply chain management program for identified supply chain partners, leading the business review meetings.

  • Represent the company to our external partners.

  • Develop, monitor, and report supply chain performance using KPIs.

  • Identify, initiate, lead, and drive improvements in the supply base.

  • Evaluate and onboard new supply chain partners as required.

  • Propose and implement changes resulting in improvements to the supply chain network.

  • Prepare and conduct supplier business reviews.

  • Ensure supplier compliance with ESG requirements, including the Code of Conduct.

General:

  • Use project management methodologies to define, implement, and track projects.
  • Develop processes for Supply Chain to improve predictability.
  • Utilize data analysis to improve supply chain performance, working with IT to define automated reports and onboard new applications.
  • Participate in supplier, customer, and internal audits.
  • Maintain documentation with a view to continuous improvement.
  • Build strong working relationships with R&D, Product Management, Finance.
  • Monitor market conditions and trends in the construction materials market.
  • Leadership skills including team development and mentoring.
  • Crisis management skills for handling supply chain disruptions.
  • Strong proficiency in supply chain management software and adaptability to new technological tools.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum requirement of 5 years in a similar role in Operations, Supply Chain within the construction industry or a regulated environment.
  • Third level Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, engineering, or related field.
  • Supplier management experience in a global environment.
  • Experience in commercial business and negotiation.
  • Effective communicative skills (both verbal and written) for internal and external communications.
  • Strong analytical, methodical, and project management skills, PMP preferred.
  • Continuous process improvement, Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality and process management systems/processes.
  • Proficiency in relevant languages for international communication is a plus.
