Darlene Dawson, CISA, CRISC, PMP has worked in the IT field for more than 25 years. Darlene began their career in 1996 working in Worldwide Market Development for Paradise Software. In 1998, they moved on to Government Program Sales for BTG plc. In 2012, they took a position as a Security Analyst at Telos Corporation. In 2013, they returned to ARDX as an Information Security Consultant and Senior Information Security Official. In 2019, they moved to HealthSavings Administrators as the Information Security Lead. In 2020, they were appointed IT Security & Compliance Director at DECISIONS.COM. In 2021, they joined Iron Vine Security as the Cyber Project Integration Manager. Currently, they are working as an Information Technology Compliance Manager at NORC at the University of Chicago.

Darlene Dawson holds a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus, obtained between 2010 and 2012. Darlene also holds an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from the Ohio Institute of Technology. In 2017, they obtained a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA, and in 2019 they obtained a Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification from ISACA. Additionally, they are in the process of obtaining a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
