Catherine Millar

Catherine Millar has extensive experience in the field of environment, health, and safety. Catherine is currently serving as the Head of Health, Safety, Security & Environment at Argenta since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Environmental Health Safety Specialist at Argenta from September 2021 to January 2022.

Before joining Argenta, Catherine worked at GSK as an EHS Advisor for five years, from September 2016 to September 2021. Prior to that, they were a Senior Environmental Consultant at ERM: Environmental Resources Management from February 2014 to September 2016.

Catherine also has experience in oil spill and emergency response consulting. Catherine worked as an Oil Spill & Emergency Response Consultant at Oil Spill Response Ltd from June 2012 to February 2014. During their tenure, they were responsible for preparing and delivering technical reports, developing oil spill contingency plans, and conducting site assessments. Catherine also assisted in the delivery of client-tailored courses.

Catherine's career began as a Geo-environmental Engineer at FairhurstGGA, where they worked from February 2007 to June 2012.

Catherine Millar has a diverse education history. In 2001, they started their undergraduate studies at the University of Dundee, where they pursued a degree in MA (Hons) Geography and Environmental Science. After completing their undergraduate degree in 2005, Catherine further expanded their knowledge in Civil Engineering by acquiring an MRes (Masters) in Civil Engineering from the same institution in 2006. Moving forward, they enrolled in NEBOSH in 2010-2011 to specialize in Environmental Management, earning a NEBOSH Specialist Diploma. In 2013-2014, Catherine pursued the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety. Lastly, in 2016-2017, they obtained a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, demonstrating their dedication to occupational safety.
