Pilar Bulacio has a wealth of experience in the biotechnology and telecommunications industries. Pilar is currently the Co-founder & CTO of ArgenTAG, a biotechnology startup on the mission to democratize long-read DNA/RNA sequencing applications. Prior to this, they were a Profesor-Investigador at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario from 2007 to 2020, where they conducted research in the area of Bio-Agroinformática. From 2002 to 2007, they were an Estudiante de Doctorado at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, working on the Spanish research project TIC-2001-2741. From 1998 to 2001, they worked as a Software Development Engineer and Ingeniero de proyecto at Siemens, where they developed an interface between telecommunications management systems and tested and homologated systems in Telecomo Argentina and Telefónica Argentina.
Pilar Bulacio completed their Doctorado in Sistemas Telemáticos at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2001 to 2006. In 2005, they obtained their Ingeniero degree in Electrónico from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. Pilar also holds a Grado en Ingeniería in Ingeniería eléctrica y electrónica from the same university.
