Ben Claes

Ben Claes has over 20 years of experience in various roles related to quality management and validation in the IT industry. Ben currently serves as the Global IT Quality & Validation Lead at argenx since October 2020. Prior to that, they worked at GSK as a Global Senior Specialist IT Quality & Compliance from January 2017 to October 2020. Ben also gained experience at Ordina Belgium, where they held multiple roles such as Validation Consultant, Pharmaceutical Consultant, IT Project Manager, Business Unit Manager Q, and interim QA Manager at different times between 2011 and 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Validation Consultant at CTG Europe, focusing on R&D Pharma IT and supporting critical applications. Ben's earlier experience includes serving as the Quality, Safety, and Environmental Manager at Smile Plastics for almost 10 years, where they managed the quality management system and was responsible for product testing, development, and compliance.

Ben Claes obtained a Master's Degree in Chemistry Engineering from KU Leuven Faculty of Engineering Technology - De Nayer Campus during the period of 1989 to 1994. Ben also pursued a Post Academic program in Environmental studies at UHasselt from 1999 to 2000.
