Pieter Spuijbroek

Pieter Spuijbroek has extensive work experience in the legal field. Pieter currently serves as the Head of Corporate Legal & Corporate Secretary at arGEN-X, where they lead the company's legal team and oversees various legal aspects such as corporate governance, financial reporting, and collaborations. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at arGEN-X.

Before joining arGEN-X, Pieter worked at deBreij, a top-tier boutique corporate M&A firm, where they gained experience in investment and divestment transactions, corporate restructurings, and financing rounds. Pieter also provided legal advice to private equity funds primarily in the life sciences and technology sectors.

In addition to their corporate legal experience, Pieter has served as a team coach for the UvA Willem C. Vis Moot Court Team at the University of Amsterdam and worked as a Team Leader at Albert Heijn.

Pieter began their professional journey as an intern at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

Pieter Spuijbroek obtained their Bachelor of Laws degree in 2012 from the University of Amsterdam, where they studied Law. Pieter also attended the Petrus Canisius College from 2004 to 2008, obtaining a VWO diploma in Economics & Society. Additionally, Pieter completed a post-academic program in M&A, Law & Finance at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, which they finished in 2018. Pieter holds certifications in LLM Commercial Private Law and LLB Private Law from the University of Amsterdam, and pre-academic education (VWO) from the Petrus Canisius College.
