Abbey Piatt Price

Abbey Piatt Price is currently serving as a Research Aide at Argonne National Laboratory in the Bioprocesses and Reactive Separations Group under Dr. Lauren Valentino since June 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant for Chemical Kinetics and Reaction Engineering and an Undergraduate Research Assistant with the Esser-Kahn Group at the University of Chicago, where Abbey developed a bench-scale apparatus for photothermally-activated carbon capture and sequestration. Additional engagements include co-founding the Engineering Fellows program, internships at Regen Network Development PBC focusing on sustainable agriculture data science, and leading research on artificial reefs at Archipelagos, Institute of Marine Conservation. Abbey also contributed to computational biology research at Occidental College's Computational Biology Lab. Abbey is pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Columbia University, following a B.S. with Honors in Molecular Engineering from the University of Chicago.
