Alec Poczatek

Alec Poczatek is a Sr. Staff Cybersecurity Analyst at Argonne National Laboratory, working since June 2016 on cybersecurity research and development, focusing on system and network defense and cyber-physical systems. In addition, Alec serves as an adjunct professor at Moraine Valley Community College, teaching cybersecurity courses, and has experience as an instructional assistant at the University of Chicago for the Master's in Threat and Response Management program. Previous roles include a graduate research assistantship at Iowa State University, co-founding HackISU, and internships in product development and technical support. Alec holds a Master's degree in Information Assurance and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University, along with a certificate in Quantum Engineering and Technology from the University of Chicago.
