Jordi Cabana

Jordi Cabana is a seasoned scientist and educator, currently serving as Group Leader and Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory since October 2022, while also holding the position of Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago since July 2013. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the same institution, Research Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from September 2008 to June 2013, and Postdoctoral Research Associate at Stony Brook University from October 2005 to June 2008. Early career experience consists of postdoctoral research at Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona, CSIC, and graduate studies at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where Jordi Cabana earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science from 2000 to 2004 and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from 1996 to 2000.
