Michelle Reissig has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Michelle worked at Argosy Cruises from 2017 to present, starting as a Tour Guide and progressing to roles such as Bosun, Wine Steward, Sales & Event Coordinator, and currently serving as the Food, Beverage, and Retail Manager. In their current role, they manage all food, beverage, and retail offerings across five vessels and an onshore gift shop, including menu creation, retail strategy development, inventory management, and vendor relationships. Michelle also chairs the Sustainability Committee.
Michelle also worked briefly at the Washington State Department of Health in 2018 as a Practicum Student. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Elon University from 2014 to 2017, including Tour Guide, Student Calling Supervisor, and Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow. Michelle also gained experience as a Nonprofit Development Intern at Hudson Ferris in 2015 and as a Grant Writing Intern at Haiti Clinic in 2014.
Michelle Reissig earned their Bachelor's Degree in Public Health from Elon University, from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including "Fundamentals of Revenue Management" from ESSEC Business School in June 2023, "Food and Beverage Management Certificate" from Cornell University in December 2021, "Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification" from Lean Six Sigma Institute in September 2021, and "Food Protection Manager Certification" from Learn2Serve in March 2023.
